These classes focus on building comfort on the ice through basic movement, balance, marching, games, and introductory skating skills while helping children develop confidence and coordination. No prior skating experience is required.

Learn to skate (hockey pathway)

Our Hockey Skating Program is designed for skaters ages 6 and up who are interested in developing strong hockey skating fundamentals, including speed, agility, edges, and power.

To ensure proper skill progression, skaters must complete Basic 1 & 2 (Beginning Foundations) before enrolling in Hockey Learn-to-Play.

Skaters who have completed Ice Explorers 1–4 (or equivalent beginner levels) are eligible to enroll in Future Caps (ages 5-9) or in Hockey Academy, where they will continue developing more advanced hockey skating skills such as acceleration, stopping, turning, and directional control in a fast-paced, athletic environment.
